Tuesday, December 18 will mark CC's 4th Opry performance and the 2nd at
the original Opry home, the amazing Ryman Auditorium, "The Mother Church

he returns once again with country music star,

it's annual transition to the "Old Opry" stage for it's holiday shows.
It was just amazing playing at the Ryman, says Hagen, this auditorium
has the most incredible acoustics, second in the world only to the
Salt Lake Tabernacle. The Ryman is located at 116 5th Avenue

CC At The Grand Ole Opry!!
Saturday, August 11,
was a dream come true for CC Hagen. It was on
this night Cliff had the incredible opportunity of
playing the legendary
stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.
Hagen was awed by the honor of standing where so many
country music pioneers had stood before and in the
elite circle in the middle of the floor that lay as a
reminder of the old Ryman and the rich history this
venue holds. Now Hagen is a part of that
history, having performed there in two of the
evening's segments with Nashville country star,
Andy Griggs.
According to CC, everyone at the Opry was just
wonderful and all of the friends and family on
hand for the performance, made it even more memorable.
Cliff began playing with Andy Griggs in early May of
this year and continues to tour the country as his
bass player and back-up vocalist. Says Hagen of
the performance, "I am very blessed to have
this opportunity to play the Opry, almost 2 years to
the day that I moved to Nashville. I owe all
thanks and praise to my Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ."
Introduced by Opry icon, Porter Wagoner,
Griggs
performed two of his hits during the 7:00-7:30 central slot which also
featured superstar Loretta Lynn. Then, following
the great John Conlee, CC put the "Outlaw" in Outlaw
Country as he accompanied Griggs on a classic and debuted the latest cut from his upcoming album in
the evening's finale during the 9:30 - 10:00 central
slot.
Portions of the live
concert are often broadcast as encore performances on Opry Live
by the GAC cable network and details can be found on
the
GAC schedule and watch for updates right here.
The show was aired in
it's entirety on WSM Radio out of Nashville, archived

Songwriting with LEGENDS
In
addition to being an active musician, playing all over
the country and working extensively as a session
musician in several Nashville recording studios, Cliff
Hagen is also a talented songwriter. CC recently
had the thrilling opportunity of co-writing with
country music legends Freddy Weller and Dickey Lee.
Co-writing with the talented pair, has also led to
rehearsing with Dickey and Freddy, playing bass in the
revived group, "Lee, Weller and The Other Guy".
Hagen is honored to be a part of this beloved trio and
carry on the musical memory of the very talented Mr.
Charles Lilly, who was killed in a car accident in
2006. Lilly had toured extensively with Lee and
Weller and helped to make this trio a regional
favorite. Says CC, "I know Charlie's going to be
a tough act to follow, but I'm going to give it my
best to do him proud and appreciate the opportunity to
make music with these two country music icons."
Freddy Weller was lead guitarist in the band "Paul
Revere and The Raiders". He co-wrote the hit
song, "Dizzy" with Tommy Roe who recorded the
multi-million-selling hit. As an artist, Mr.
Weller had his own hit songs in "Down In The
Boondocks" and "Games People Play" which shot to
number one on the country charts and earned him a Most
Promising New Male Country Vocalist award from the
Academy of Country Music. Freddy has recorded 12
albums and has had over 30 highly charted singles.
He continues to work as a prolific songwriter, penning
hits for such artists as Reba McEntire, Doug Stone,
John Michael Montgomery and George Jones.
Nashville Hall of Famer, Dickey Lee, has a remarkable
string of hits spanning 5 decades of successful
songwriting. His credits include, "She Thinks I
Still Care", "9,999,999 Tears", "Let's Fall To Pieces
Together" and "Never Ending Song Of Love", just to
name a few. Mr. Lee has had CMA, IBMA and Grammy
Song Of The Year Nominations and has earned an Academy
of Country Music Song Of The Year Award for
"Keeper of The Stars." In addition to writing
the hit songs that launched dozens of artists to
stardom, Dickey is an accomplished performer himself
and as an artist has had several top-ten hits.
He continues to tour and perform the songs that have
made him a musical legend in Nashville.
The trio of CC Hagen, Freddy Weller and Dickey Lee is
celebrating the completion of songs they are
especially proud of and look forward to sharing them
with country fans real soon. Finishing touches
are being put on the first cut's demo, and there has
already been some promising industry buzz about it!
